One-day hiking trip to the southeast of Chania, at the foot of the White Mountains, in the province of Apokoronas.

Route: The approach to the area will be from the beautiful village of Tzitzifes, located in a green landscape, at an altitude of 255 meters, from where the hiking will begin, on a dirt road up to the small plateau of Vothona, at an altitude of 600 meters. The plateau is deserted, with few cypress trees and other trees, and serves mainly as a pasture. Participants will have the chance to see an old drinking water shed and the very nice Patsuro's mitato. The route is beautiful with a view of 365 degrees, from the white tops of the White Mountains to the shores of Apokoronas. Next we will pass from the fodder settlement of Arevitis and we will descend from a dirt road in the historic traditional village of Vafes.
