The well-established activity for the celebration of the New Year will be an easy walk to a mountainous area near the Omanite Summit, alt. 1,187 m., above Asi Gonia village in the province of Apokoronas.

Route: The ascent will start shortly after the village square and will be on an uphill dirt road. The participants will get acquainted with the beauties of this area and will see beautiful pictures to the eastern White Mountains and the entire northern coastline of our prefecture. The pie cutting event will take place around 12:30 noon. The walk will be around 4 hours, but participants must be in good condition and wear a hiking shoe (hiking boots), carry a hiking stick, warm waterproof jacket and clothing, gloves and a cap, junk food and water. Hikers and climbers, as well as children and adolescents, can take part in this activity.
