Easy one-day hiking trip to the Municipality of Agios Vasilios in the south of the prefecture of Rethymno.

Route: The starting point of the route will be from the village of Gianni on a rural road about one hour to the foot of the small peak that is the chapel of the Holy Cross. The ascent will be from a path and a rural road of about 40 minutes. At the top, which has a spectacular view, we will admire the southern side of the beaches, Schinarias, Amoudi, Damnoni, Plakias, Souda Plakias. And from the north the villages of Asamos, Lefkogia, Marios, Plakias, Selia, Myrthios. After a little rest then we will descend the same path to finish the village of Lefkogia where the bus will be waiting for us to transfer to Damnoni beach for rest and bathing. Travel duration about 4 hours.
Participants must be in good physical condition, wear a mountaineering shoe (boot-bootie) and have with them a climbing stick, windbreaker, hat and sunscreen, food and plenty of water.
