Three day activity for hiking and sightseeing in Lasithi Prefecture.

Route: Saturday 25/02
− Departure from the offices of the Club at 90 Tzanakaki Street, at 7:30 am.
- Arrival at the Kapsa monastery at noon, with the necessary stops along the way to relax.
- Our course will be in the gorge of Pervolakia which we will climb up to the village of Perivolakia on a marked path, from there we will move on a dirt road for about 1.6 km and then on a clean downhill path to the Kapsa monastery, where we will finish the hike and visit the monastery. Our overnight stay will be in a hotel in Ierapetra. (length ~ 10 Km, travel time ~ 5 hours).

Sunday 26/02
− Departure at 7:30 am from Ierapetra and transfer to Monastiraki.
- We start shortly before reaching the village of Monastiraki by walking on asphalt and a dirt road for about 3 km, from there we follow the well-marked passable path (E4) which takes us up to the edge of the Ha canyon to the church of Agia Anna, route with a very beautiful view both towards the bay of Agios Nikolaos and the imposing Ha. We continue on a dirt road for about 2.7 km until the village of Thripti. We stop for one hour in the village and return by the same route. Our overnight stay will be in the same hotel in Ierapetra. (The road to Thripti is a narrow concrete road and the bus does not go up). (length ~ 18 Km, travel time ~ 8 hours).

Monday 27/02
− Departure at 7:30 am from Ierapetra and transfer to Kavousi.
- From Kavousi we walk on a dirt road to Ancient Elia (2 km) and from there on a well-marked path (E4) we climb to the top of Kastro 710 m., where there are archeological findings of an old settlement from the Late Minoan period from the end of the Bronze Age to the early Iron Age. Return to Kavousi. (length ~ 6 Km, walking time ~ 3.5 hours).
- The second group continues from the top of Kastro and we approach the imposing gorge of Meosona. We descend it from a well-marked large cobblestone exposed to the altitude (only for slightly more experienced members who do not have acrophobia). After the descent we visit Azoria. The archaeological site of "Azoria" (370 m.), is an important archaeological find with two Acropolies, as it was continuously inhabited from the Neolithic Era and flourished from the 7th to the 5th century BC, where it was completely destroyed by fire. It was inhabited again in the 2nd century BC. Ending the route we end up in Kavousi. (length ~ 10 Km, travel time ~ 5 hours).

- Return on the afternoon of Clean Monday to Chania.

-During the hikes and along the entire routes, all the health and safety rules and regulations due to Covid-19 will be practiced.
