The mitato of Tzatzimos is located on the western slopes of Mount Gigilos on a beautiful balcony above the Trypitis gorge. It has hosted many mountaineers both for recreation and in difficult times when the mountain has become wild and showed its teeth. Ioannis Tzatzimos, the shepherd whom we used to meet in these wild places and who always offered us his shelter, recently passed away. In his memory the Club is organizing this visit to say a final goodbye and thank him for his contribution.
